In memory of

Ruth Yvonne Frazer (née Pugh)

July 8, 1934 -  December 26, 2023

Yvonne was born on July 8, 1934, in West end Toronto, Ontario. She peacefully passed away on December 26, 2023, at the age of 89 in Mississauga, Ontario.
The most wonderful Mum & Grandmother, she was always ready to drive to any practice, game or concert. Yvonne and Lloyd were a pair, singing together, going to the movies, listening to music or waving goodbye from the front door. She cherished her summers at Halls Lake, swimming with friends, naming every bird, flower and tree and listening to the water.
Yvonne is preceded in death by her loving husband, Lloyd of 64 years, her mother Leah Pugh (Bertrand), her father Clarence Pugh, her brother Roger Pugh, and her daughter-in-law Yung-Yi Frazer. She is survived by her children, Tim, Karen and Leigh, as well as her grandchildren Clare, Andrew (Jane), and Leah (Ken) and great granddaughter Myla. She was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her next great-grandchild, due shortly. Yvonne also leaves behind sister-in-law Diane and numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
Yvonne was a proud alumna of Humberside Collegiate and continued at Teachers College, where she pursued her passion for teaching. She started her career during the days of one-room schoolhouses and found her calling in kindergarten, where she made a lasting impact on countless young lives.
In addition to family time, Yvonne found joy in singing and being involved in church life. Enjoying travelling, her kindness and warmth connected her with others wherever she went.
A memorial service celebrating Yvonne's life will be held on January 21, 2024, at 4:00 pm at Metropolitan United Church, located at 56 Queen St East. All are welcome to attend and share in the memories of a remarkable woman. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Metropolitan United Church Music Fund at www.metunited.org or Bloorview Children's Centre at www.hollandbloorview.ca. My condolences Tim, Leah, and Karen on the loss of your mom. The few times I met her she was always so positive with a welcoming smile and genuinely interested in what I had to say. I know a void will be felt by many people. XO
