1932 - 2024

In Loving Memory with sorrow, we announce the passing of Ruth Mariko Sato on February 5, 2024. She passed peacefully in her sleep at her nursing home in Toronto. As a long-time primary school teacher at Gledhill Public School, Ruth touched the lives of many students and staff and enjoyed spending much of the early years of her retirement travelling the world. Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, her sister, Hannah, her children, Bob, Laura and Jon, their spouses, Tony and Hiroko, and her grandchildren, Anne, Ariel, Joshua and Julia. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Pine Hills Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough on Tuesday February 20, 2024 from 4 to 8 p.m. A Celebration of Ruth’s Life will take place on Wednesday February 21, 2024 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow.
