Fester, Russell Allan-October 20, 1963-March 30, 2023

Russell Allan Fester passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on March 30, 2023 at the age of 59. Russell was born on October 20, 1963 in Dunnville Ontario. Russ proudly grew up on the Grand River that he affectionately called his “playground” and where he developed his lifelong love of the outdoors-notably fishing and hunting. Russell is survived by his loving spouse Debbie Vitiello, his stepson Alex, his mother Shirley, brothers Wesley and Wayne, sister Tiffiney and his large extended family notably Aunt Virginia, Aunt Mary Jane and Uncle Rick. Russ was predeceased by his father Robert. When Russ was not pursuing his love of the outdoors on his boat fishing or in the woods hunting, he was the successful owner of a crane company. Russell was adored by all he came in to contact with and could always be found with his infectious smile and his signature laugh. He will be sorely missed by his extended family Michael Polan, Jacqueline Polan, brother-in-law Richard and family as well as his closest friends Tim & Anne, Victor, Heather and kids. Russ’ generosity and kindness towards all was boundless and he will be cherished and remembered by all those whose lives he touched.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Bayview Family Church or Sick Kids Hospital can be made in Russell’s memory.
Friends may call at Pine Hills Cemetery & Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Road on Tuesday April 4, 2023 at 1 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. Interment to follow within Pine Hills Cemetery.
