Dr. Ruey Seng Li (Dr. U Yee Sein), age 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday 17th of September. Ruey was born on December 10th 1939. His father unfortunately passed away early in his life, so Ruey was raised by his mother and siblings, whom he loved with all of his heart. Ruey excelled in everything he did; he did exceptional in school then went on to earn a doctorate in Organic Chemistry at the University of Moscow. He married, Cynthia Ho (Daw Sein Sein), and they spent a further 56 years happily married and started a beautiful life together, raising two children Linda and Derek. Ruey immigrated to Canada in 1977 from Myanmar for a better life and give opportunities for his family, and later his extended families.

He is survived by his loving wife, daughter, son, and grandchildren. There will be a funeral service held for Ruey on 22th of September between 2pm and 4pm at the Elgin Mills Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Centre. Please feel free to attend if you would like to pay your respects.
