Born on March 25, 1939, in Taishan County, Guangdong Province, Mrs. Ru Xin Li Huang married Mr. Yuan Bo Huang in 1962. Together, they had children and grandchildren across four generations, totalling 33 people, scattered across Canada and United States.
She was born into a poor rural family. When she was very young, her father went abroad to make a living. She, her older brother, and her mother depend on each other for support. This early life taught her perseverance, diligence, and frugality. She was always eager to learn, and her academic performance was outstanding. She was one of the very few who successfully passed the entrance exams and left her village to enter medical school. Her goal was to become a doctor to help others. Over her more than 20 years of medical practice, she saved many lives and assisted in the birth of countless newborns. At the peak of her career, she gave up her profession for the sake of her children's future and emigrated to Canada in 1986. She silently dedicated herself to her family, enduring hardships without complaint and showing meticulous care for her loved ones. She was especially devoted to the education and upbringing of her descendants, without any regrets or hesitation. In her later years, she took care of her husband and her centenarian mother, tirelessly and selflessly.
In her younger years, she was an outgoing and active person who loved both work and life. She also enjoyed traveling, having visited Europe, the United States, and China over the years. In her daily life, she valued health, simplicity, orderliness, and cleanliness. She was passionate about exercise, and before her illness, she exercised for two to three hours every day. Unfortunately, at the age of 85, in February 2024, she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. However, she viewed life and death with clarity and was not afraid of death. For the sake of her family and grandchildren, even though she knew the painful process of treatment, she endured it with perseverance and a positive attitude. During her illness, she experienced God’s great grace, witnessing how God provided her with excellent doctors and a good care environment. Despite being initially told she could only survive two to three months, she fought for nearly a year. During that year, she did not experience significant pain and did her best to care for herself. God not only gave her time to know Him and experience His grace, but ultimately she came to understand that God loves all people and has prepared eternal life for her. She made the decision to accept Jesus Christ's salvation, finding comfort in her spirit and redemption for her soul.
After nearly a year of struggling with illness, Mrs. Ru Xin Li Huang passed away peacefully in the afternoon of January 5th this year. After laying down her earthly labors and suffering, she rested in the Lord's embrace at the age of 88.
