In Loving Memory of Roy Charles Bagnato

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roy Charles Bagnato, of Keswick ON, at age 87. Roy passed away on December 31st, 2024, with his devoted wife, Pat, and son, Scott, by his side.

Born on March 17th, 1937, in Toronto, Ontario, Roy was the son of Roy Bagnato and Ruby Skinner. He grew up in Toronto and lived a full, meaningful life, always placing family at the center of everything he did. Roy’s greatest joy was spending time with his beloved wife, Pat, with whom he shared nearly 70 years of marriage, and his children: Terry (Debbie), Steve, Danny (deceased), and Scott (Tanya).

Throughout his life, Roy worked as the Canadian Sales & Marketing Manager in the medical division and took immense pride in his work, but it was his role as a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather that defined him. He was a man of warmth, humor, and wisdom who found deep fulfillment in watching his family grow. Roy's laughter, guidance, and presence will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Roy was the proud grandfather of Caitlin (Jason), Russell (Veronica), Brandi (Damien), Tamara, Shonagh (Kyle), Melissa (Cody), Beth (Connor), Haley (Mitchell), Danielle (Christopher), Evan (Julia) and Clay (Morgan), and a great-grandfather to Madison, Hudson, Jozie, Grace and Colton. He also leaves behind his sister, Carol, nephews, Richard (Renee) and Joseph, and brother-in-law Bud (Alana), as well as other family members who were close to his heart. Roy was predeceased by his parents and his son, Danny.

A life well-lived, Roy's legacy will continue through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his strength, unwavering love, wisdom and most of all, his great sense of humour.

The family will be holding a service to honor Roy's life at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto, on January 9th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation and/or The Canadian Hearing Society.

Hi Pat
I am sorry I can’t attend Roy’s funeral tomorrow. I have pulmonary fibrosis and I am on oxygen 24/7 and just don’t have the stamina to travel. Roy was a good friend and I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and your family. May God hold you in the palm of his hand and fill you with His peace.

Sincerely

Bob
