In memory of

Rowena Rogers

September 8, 1924 -  February 22, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Rowena Anna Rogers (nee Quirk) also known as Little Grammie announce her ascent to heaven. Rowena left this earth to become the angel in heaven that she was during her time here on earth. Rowena passed at the age of 98 on February 22nd, 2023. She is survived by her daughters Barbara (David) of Petitcodiac NB and Catherine of Toronto. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Kyle (Joanne), Chad (Holly), and Coralee (Alex). She was a great-grandmother to her five great grandchildren Morgan, Madison, Cole, Rylee and Amy. She is predeceased by her husband Kenneth Leroy Rogers, her parents Mary Anna Quirk (nee Mc Mackin), father William Quirk, her four brothers Fred, Lawerence, Gerrard and William as well as her younger sister Theresa. She is survived by her sister Helena Sorg of Maryland USA and her close cousin Marion Dougherty of Moncton NB as well as her many nieces and nephews. She loved to garden, cook and loved a good laugh. She loved her many friends that she made over the years during her time working at Chrysler. Born in Sussex NB and raised in Moncton, she would later make the move to Ontario where she would spend the next 72 years. She was the most warmhearted and giving woman who instilled a strong work ethic and values in her children and grandchildren. She was kind and generous and blessed the lives of all that had the privilege of knowing her. We are truly saddened by her passing but take comfort in knowing that she is finally at peace. Please join us for a requiem mass at St. Mary of the People Catholic Church located at 570 Marion Avenue Oshawa at 10:30 am Monday February 27th. Burial to follow at Thornton Cemetery located at 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa. In Lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider making a donation in her name to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, a cause that was dear to her heart.

Sending my Sincere Condolence to her Family. She was a Wonderful person and will be greatly missed. I have very fond memories of my childhood visits with My Aunt Ronnie , I always looked forward to them and enjoyed the very much.
Even though we have lived far apart for many years we still had communication with phone calls and cards right up until she could not talk on the phone anymore.
She will always have a special place in my heart.

Barb, Cathy, and Family,
Please accept our sincerest condolences on the loss of your dear mother. She was such a beautiful soul. Our mom thought a lot of her and was always asking Holly about her. It's not easy to lose your mother, as we have recently experienced, but they both lived to amazing ages and were able to make so many memories with their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Cherish the memories and may she rest in peace, hugs to all.
Love Maxine, Lenny, Ben, and Bryce
