Ross' wife, Penny, his daughter Laura, and his grandchildren Sophie and Annabelle are heartbroken to announce his death, from complications of Multiple System Atrophy, on September 18, 2022. Earliest symptoms of this brutal disease began around 2004, with a formal diagnosis in the Spring of 2017. Throughout all that time, Ross approached and responded to the losses and challenges presented to him with the qualities he demonstrated in everyday living--patience, perseverance, humour, calm, and concern for others before himself. His steadfastness and support of family carried us all forward throughout his illness; he has left a legacy of love and will be greatly missed. His charity extends even beyond his death; he hoped that his brain donation would advance research into the cause of this disease and discover treatment.
While no formal celebration of life is being planned for now, the family invites you to consider donating, in Ross' memory, to Multiple System Atrophy research, by reaching out to https://www.msacanada.ca/donate-to-us/
