Rosita (Rosie / Rose) Calleja Austriaco was born on September 4, 1943 with her twin sister Rosalina in Bicol, Philippines. Her parents were Vivencio Calleja & Matilde Oribiana. She also has 4 brothers, Carlos, Pablo, Eduardo (Deceased) & Salvador (Deceased).
Rosita was married and widowed from Antonio Austriaco.
Rosita passed away at her home in the early morning of July 12, 2026 with her eldest son and caregiver Art, after her long and arduous battle with COPD. She is survived and loved by her 4 children Art, Alex, Anthony & Ann.
Rosita loved her 4 children and was fond of her daughter-in-laws & son-in-law and treasured her 9 grandchildren:

Rosita is lovingly remembered by her sister-in-laws & brother-in-laws as well as by her numerous nieces & nephews here in Canada & the U.S. She is also fondly remembered by her countless friends, colleagues and co-workers as well as by family & friends living in the Philippines.
The Visitation and A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held in her honour on Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Pine Hills Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, Toronto, ON
