In memory of

Rose Schur

January 18, 1941 -  November 16, 2024

Rose Schur passed away peacefully on November 16th, 2024, at the Seven Oaks Long Term Care Home. She was the only child of Wassyl and Sophie Dumin (both deceased) and the beloved wife of 61 years to husband Jerry Schur. Rose was very proud of her career and gave thirty-three years of devoted service as a member of 52 Division Detective Services for the Metropolitan Toronto Police.

Rose will be sadly missed by her family and friends. A special thank you to all the staff at Seven Oaks for their wonderful care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Rose may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario.

Life long friends were made growing up on Sharbot Avenue. I will always remember Rose as the consummate hostess, always making sure your drink was full and sharing those lovely Ukrainian Easter dinners. Many great times were had on Friday Nights. I'll always remember her bare feet in fluffy clogs in the winter. She was one of a kind. Her laugh and smile will certainly be missed.
