In memory of

Rose Lee

February 26, 1934 -  February 5, 2020

In Loving Memory
Rose Lee was born in Hong Kong and emigrated to Canada in the early 1950's as a teenager.

She worked at the CIBC located in Toronto's Chinatown in the 1950's where set met her husband, Nelson Lee, when he walked into the bank. He worked at the Lichee Garden restaurant located above the bank.
Rose later returned to banking in 1968 working until the late 1990's, retiring from CIBC.

Rose's life long passion was music and it was a multi-dimensional.
She was an excellent and skilled Chinese Opera singer and she was never shy to take the stage or microphone and often in full Chinese Opera costume.
She also enjoyed singing Chinese karaoke whether it be at home or more often, singing weekly at her various music clubs she belonged to.
She also learned to play several Chinese musical instruments.
Rose had a huge admiration for singing star Engelbert Humperdinck. She had so much fun traveling throughout Canada and the US with her other Engelbert fan club members friends to watch him perform.

Rose is survived by her three children, Lingta, Janson, Benson, son-in-law Ken, three grandchildren, Sydney, Spencer, Connor and her brother, Howard

I will miss Mrs. Lee and our long slow walks in the neighbourhood as we counted cars and said hello to every dog that crossed our path.
I really appreciate her #1 (and only) son-in-law status that she bestowed upon me and repeated every time I saw her.
Rest In Peace Mrs. Lee
Love, Ken

While having never met Rose it's clear that she was a remarkable person. I only know of her through her son Benson, whose tireless devotion to her care and support clearly illustrated the love that must have been ever present in her life. I know she will be missed. Rest in peace.

Benson,

On behalf of myself and the entire team here at 245, our sympathy to you and your family in this very trying time. Cherish all the wonderful moments... sounds like your mother was an exceptional person in so many ways. You both definitely, knew each other very well and throughout these past years, she was so lucky to have her family around, especially the steady support you have provided her in recent years.

.. Again, our deepest sympathy.
