Ronald Frank Hinton

August 24, 1932 - June 17, 2023

Ron Passed away peacefully on June 17, 2023, in his 91st year, surrounded by his children in Barrie, Ontario. Predeceased by his loving wife, Norma (June 13, 2015), he will be deeply missed and forever loved by his children, Norma (Gary), Jeff (Sandi), and Nubey (Joe), and his grandchildren Cody (Monica), Robyn (Brandon), Matthew (Alexia), Christian (Erika), O, and Grace. He was predeceased by his sister Joan. Ron was an uncle and friend to many. He will always be remembered for his love of family, passion for lawn bowling, and strong work ethic. At Ron's request, arrangements were entrusted to Elgin Mills Funeral Centre. Cremation has already taken place with a private family funeral to follow. The family would appreciate donations in Ron's memory to the Coleman Care Centre, 140 Cundles Road West, Barrie, Ontario L4N 9X8.

Ron, you were such an interesting person to talk to. Dad , and my dear husband John loved talking with you.
You were a very hard worker, and generous man.
I remember you driving Dad and l to the church for my wedding, you were the only one we knew that had such a nice car back then, lol!
You will be greatly missed by family and friends, but knowing that your with your love of your life brings comfort to those left behind.
You were a great man, Mr. Hinton! I was honoured to know you!

Norma Laughlin (Daughter)

Ron left grade six to help his father with his metal fabricating business. Dad took over when his father could no longer work and grew the business. Ron worked hard and long hours to always make sure his family had everything they needed. His life was family work and in his later life Norma and Ron discovered Lawn Bowling. Ron and Norma are now waltzing into the sunset. Peaceful sleep to both of you.
