In memory of

Ronald Alphonso

November 12, 1958 -  February 9, 2025

On February 9, 2025 the world lost an extraordinary man, Ronald Alphonso. He lived life to its fullest and left an incredible mark on everyone he met. Ronald was 66 years old.

Beloved husband to Helen his true love and best friend through life’s journey for 37 years. Their love and commitment to one another were evident in the countless memories they created together.

Devoted father to Jonathan (Jessica), Christian and Alexander. Ronald’s greatest happiness was watching his sons grow, always offering them support, encouragement and love. He was immensely proud of them and the lives they built.

Loving son to John (predeceased) and Delma. Amazing brother to Donald (Nadia), Quinn (Elizabeth), Dwight (predeceased), Michele (Angelo) and John Jr. (predeceased). Wonderful son-in-law to Tom (predeceased) and Stella and brother-in-law to Jim and Christine. Cherished uncle of Tyler, Jake (predeceased), Eric, Derek, Zoe, Evan and Chloe.

Ronald grew up and lived in Toronto his entire life. He attended Ryerson Polytechnical Institute and received his degree in Business Administration. He obtained his Mortgage Broker License and at the age of 50 he obtained his MBA from Ryerson University with a specialization in technology and innovation. Ronald was a man of great integrity, wit, and charm. His hard work, sense of humour and honesty was known to all who knew him. He had a remarkable ability to make those around him feel welcome and valued. His love for his family was limitless and he always put their needs first, no matter the cost. He will be remembered not only for his dedication to his family but also for the joy and laughter he brought to every room he entered.

Always wanting to be an entrepreneur, Ronald dabbled in several businesses before finding his true calling in the mortgage industry. He started his company, Mortgage Broker Store in 2010, where he was the principal broker, real estate investor and private lender. He also acted as a contributor and consultant to many different media outlets across Canada. He was passionate about his career in mortgages and real estate, earning the trust and admiration of his clients and peers. Ronald took great pride in helping people get the best rates and keep them in their homes. His work was not just a profession, but a reflection of his caring nature and commitment to others.

Though he left us too soon, Ronald’s spirit lives on in the memories he created and the family and friends who will forever carry him in their hearts. He will be always remembered, deeply missed and forever loved.

The Alphonso family warmly invites everyone to the service for Ronald on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Pine Hills Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, Toronto, Ontario, M1K 1R1. The family would love for everyone to come together, share memories, and celebrate Ronald’s life.

In memory of Ronald and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
