It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean-Roger “Roger” Young, on Saturday, September 30th, 2023. Beloved husband of Gilda Arellano-Suemith. Cherished son of Marie-Paule Young, and the late Donald Warrener. Dear brother of Daniel Warrener, and Marie-Josée Parisi (Tom Parisi). Loving step-father of Cresilda. Proud uncle of Josie and Sophie Warrener, and Mireille Parisi. Roger will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his extended family and friends.
Roger's generosity and caring nature left a mark on the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He had a zest for life, enjoying activities such as tennis, biking, walking, and was always up for a dance. His simple pleasures, like savoring hot chocolate and pizza, mirrored his appreciation for life's little joys. Roger was “The Real McCoy”.
A visitation will be held at York Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto, on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 -8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the York Funeral Centre Chapel, on Friday, October 6th, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at York Cemetery.
