In memory of

Roger Frederick Wells

February 25, 1941 -  May 20, 2022

Roger Frederick Wheeler Wells passed away peacefully at home in Toronto, Ontario at the age 81. He is survived by the love of his life, Leeping Tao. He is also survived by his sisters Eunice and Alice (Simeon), sister-in-law Marjorie-Lee (James), brother-in-law Frank (Marion) and Ed (Jean). He is predeceased by his parents, James and Fannie (Wheeler) Wells, his siblings: John (Kathleen), Betty (Raymond), James, Marion, Jean, and niece Ursula. He has many nieces & nephews: John, Christopher, Raymond, Gregory, Lucinda, Melinda, James, Roderick, Lawrence, Glenda, Debra, Wayne, Abel, Amanda, Rebecca, Claudine, Simeon, Jimmy, Tiffiny, and Eddie.
Originally from Corner Brook, Newfoundland Roger was a man of many talents who enjoyed living a simple life with Leeping. He loved whistling, singing, and lyric writing. He was an excellent craftsman and handyman, experienced with intricate woodwork and designing and constructing buildings. He was humorous; physically powerful; and loved the outdoors. He started his career early and worked for several employers, National Parks of Canada, Canadian National Railway, and a couple construction companies.
Roger did not wish his loved ones to feel sad or endure hardship on his behalf. He will be dearly missed. We welcome families and friends to leave their condolences on this memorial page. Roger helped those experienced hardship due to unexpected events, severe hurricane or flood, war. In lieu of flowers, any donations will be used in the future as he would have wished to do so.

Uncle Roger always knew how to laugh about life and if you needed one, he helped you find a laugh or two or four.

I remember, as a kid, Uncle Roger was always there helping his brother (my dad) on whatever project was happening.

I remember enjoying many a few jigs here and there. Kicking up our feet and stomping the ground.

These and other fond memories, will always be there until me meet again.

RIP Uncle Roger

Uncle Roger was one of my favorite uncles. I remember when he lived with us in Toronto and we would share a cup of tea together, he would make his tea first and then use the same tea bag to make me a cup. He also introduced me to the love of peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches. At first I said no way but he said to me “Unless you have tried it you can say whether you like them or not!” So I decided to give it a try and he was right, they were delicious! To this day I will have a peanut butter/mayo sandwich and fondly think of my uncle. I will miss him greatly but I look forward to the time when I’ll get to welcome home back along with my dad in the resurrection.
