Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, with family by his side on Saturday June 15, 2024, in his 72nd year. Beloved son of the late Hilda McLaren (Nee: Payne). Devoted husband of Sharon McLaren (Nee: Gibson) for 46 years. Dear dad of Ashleigh (Chris), Adrienne (Rohan), and Scott (Bianca). Cherished grandpa of Autumn and Gibson. A special thank you to the personal support workers and nurses for their care and compassion for Rodney.

We are so sorry to learn of Rod's passing. We know that the challenges of recent years have been hard and frustrating for everyone. But we remember Rod as the good neighbour and friend we knew back in Blue Grass Meadows days. Our children are likewise sad at this news. We all send our condolences and hugs to Ashleigh, Adrienne, Scott and, especially, Sharon. May memories of happy times bring you all smiles and comfort.
