Robyn Fazel (Knight) passed away at home on October 27, 2019 at the age of 42 after a 2.5-year fight with cancer. She will be forever remembered by her husband and best friend, Amir, their precious daughter, Layla (8), by her loving parents, Josephine and Colin Knight, her dear sister, Samantha Haggerty (Knight), her parents-in-law, Mahshid Fakhteh and Alireza Fazel, and her sister-in-law, Narges Fazel. She will also be missed by her many aunts, uncles, nieces, colleagues and friends.
To know Robyn was to love her. Her ever-present smile, kindness and generosity left you no choice. Her easy laugh, positive attitude and joyful nature brightened your day, and brightened your life. She was just so very nice all the time! Robyn never complained, even when she had more than enough reason to. She was always cheerful as she fought various medical conditions from a young age and survived a liver transplant in 2004. To the very end, she never stopped smiling. She never stopped loving. She never stopped giving. She can rest now, and just be loved.
Robyn was born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario. She graduated from Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School (1995) before pursuing her B.Sc. in Toxicology at the University of Toronto (1999). She began her career as a pharmacist after obtaining her degree from the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto (2003), where she served as class president (1999/2000 and 2001/2002) and vice president (2000/2001). She was always a very good girl, never got into trouble, and usually finished her weekend homework on Friday night. She was also a competitive synchronized figure skater throughout her childhood and into her university years.
