Surrounded by the love of his family, Robert died peacefully on Friday, November 1st, 2019 at the age of 72. He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 22 years, Jean, and their precious children Mike (Sue) and William (Tiffany). Robert was a proud and devoted grandfather to Craig (Edyta) and Kristi.

Retired from his Optical business of more than 30 years, Robert enjoyed spending time with family and friends, travelling, and his beloved side kick Golden Retriever, Charlie. He was proud of his German heritage and Catholic faith. He also enjoyed the occasional chocolate and apple strudels with ice cream. Robert was respected in the Don Mills community and will be expressively missed. He will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at York Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Road, North York on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 10 am – 11 am with service to follow at 11 am. Interment will take place after the service at York Cemetery and a reception will be held after burial at York Funeral Centre.
