Great Grandfather to Brayden Little, Katie Shallow and River Gozlan.

A young boy living through the war in the 1940’s becoming a man serving in the army. Bob was a man of many talents. From being a coal-man to truck driver and onto working in Barclays Bank as a messenger. He could do it all. He was a handy man, singer, and comedian but most of all he was a loving husband and father. The true loves of his life were Dolly his wife and his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bob lived life to it's fullest. His favourite pastime was football and a pint accompanied by a sing along with his wife dolly who played the piano beside him. Bob was a family man, he loved to spend time with his bothers and shared many stories of them all as young boys growing up in London on Varley Rd. He loved to tell stories. He could talk for hours about encounters he had over the years as they brought him great joy. At around the age of 80 years he decided to purchase a typewriter to document his stories. He named them “Bob’s War”. They serve as a lifetime of happy memories for us to cherish now that he can’t share them in person. He was loved and admired by all who knew him.

Dad, my protector, my world will not be the same without you. Thank you for all you did for me and my family. You taught us how to build, change a tire and switch an electrical plug. You showed us how to party and sing. Most of all you shared your stories. You gave us a lifetime of memories to share and hold onto. I love you dad, and my heart aches. It's not goodbye but so long for now. Love you always, I promise to never forget you,
Your daughter,
Lesley xo

Uncle Bob you are and will be missed greatly. I remember your warmth and humour, always laughing. I always remember the college you and Dolly looked after and I loved visiting you all there, it was a kids playground. When I came to Canada I remember pretty soon after arriving we were drinking together and again laughing a lot. You were my best role model of an uncle and I hope I can be just as good to my nephews. Rest now. Say Hi to Dolly and Mum. Love Jeff and Family.

He truly was loved by all. He will be dearly missed and his stories will be told for generations to come.
Let the record state: it was not Mr. Smith who came up with the idea to put the toilet over the stairs... it was Bob.

Rest in peace.
