In memory of

Robert "Bob" Kesic

February 5, 1956 -  September 14, 2025

Our sweet beloved Bob passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on September 14, 2025. Born in Montreal on February 5, 1956, Bob was known for his warmth, humour, and for making everyone feel welcome at our home. He worked in the Telecom industry for many years, attended McGill University, and was on the McGill ski team. He graduated from Concordia University in 1981. He played hockey into his late 30s and loved it, also golfing was a passion of his. He enjoyed all sports, especially watching his Montréal Canadiens.

Bob enjoyed all holidays, Easter, Thanksgiving, and especially Christmas. Bob is survived by his loving wife Mary of 43 years, his beautiful daughter Meghan, his wonderful son-in-law Tyler, and his favourite grandson Zachary, who’s the apple of his eye, his mother-in-law Margaret, siblings, Maria Tony, Nicky, Franca, (Sean), and his nieces, nephews, and many friends who will miss him dearly.

A celebration of life for Bob will be held on October 10th at 11 AM at the Simple Alternative funeral home located at 1057 Brock Rd., Pickering, Ontario. Please join the family for refreshments after services in the reception room.

Mary and Megan,

I am very sorry for your loss. Uncle Bob was always full of energy when we’ve spoken over the past couple of years and seemed like he was one to truly enjoy being around his immediate family and enjoying life. He had a special connection and admired his grandson. He also loved to make a serious event out of special holidays with his out of the box ideas that always surprised everyone.

He will be greatly missed by all and my thoughts are with you as you’re going through this difficult time.

I won’t be able to make the service but will surely make an effort to see you when I am in Toronto next to chat about the positive times.

Be well.

You were rich if you had Bob Kesic as a friend; Bob would always look out for you. Both Bob and Mary in the European tradition they were raised in, were wonderful caring hosts and loved entertaining. Bob and Mary were a great couple but what completed them was Meghan! Bob always looked out for his girls. Bob’s greatest assignment was that of granddad; a position he embraced wholeheartedly, with each occasion taking on new meaning and energy as he had a partner in crime! Bob’s was kindhearted this was evident when I accidentally stole his wallet while on a weekend away with them, Bob was forgiving and never had me arrested! May memories of a life well lived comfort his family.

Wonderful neighbor. Always had a great story to tell. I always enjoyed watching him get ready for the Christmas Holidays. Putting up the lights and playing Christmas music.
