In memory of

Robert "Bob" Gerry

December 13, 1930 -  January 8, 2021

Passed away peacefully on Friday, January 8, just weeks after his 90th birthday. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Audrey, his daughters Karen (Rob) and Dawn (Paul), and grandchildren Emma, Elisabeth, Hanna and Harrison.
A graduate of Western, Bob enjoyed his years working in the paperboard industry, retiring in 1996 as VP & GM at Dover Industries, Bondware Division. Bob will be remembered for his integrity, positive attitude, kindness, and love of sports – he enjoyed nothing more than a Sunday afternoon watching football!
A private family service has taken place with cremation to follow. Donations in Bob’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ontario would be appreciated.

A very sad day to hear the passing of an awesome man 'Uncle Bob".
A special man in our family circle who will be missed and certainly no replacing.
I will always remember Uncle Bob as the boy (in Grandmas words) who stole her Audrey away (all the way from Stettler AB to Mississauga ON).
My thoughts and prayers to Dawn, Karen and family.

Dear Audrey and Family; I am truly saddened to learn of Bob's passing. Please accept my deepest and most sincere condolences. I have so many wonderful memories of being in Bob's company and laughing until I ached and the tears rolled down my cheeks. Do you remember cross country skiing with my parents and Dad broke his wrist just before Kim's wedding? I wish you peace and comfort in the days ahead. Please know that my thoughts are with you. Sincerely, Karen Mezciems, (Beard). Pat and Dick Beard's daughter.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Robert Gerry.
What i did have however, was the amazing gift of a friendship/mentor/sisterhood in sport that has exceeded 30 years in his daughter Karen.
No doubt he played a larger role in the amazing family Gerry.
May he rest in peace and know those who know of you, have admiration and respect.
God bless
Jo
