Robert Beer

July 10, 1953 -  June 19, 2025

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Robert in his 71st year, after a courageous battle against Cancer. He passed away peacefully on June 19th, 2025, at Ian Anderson House, in Oakville, with his family by his side.

Robert was the loving Father to Sarah Brittles (Lee) and cherished Grandpa to Mason and Claire Brittles. Robert leaves behind his sister Beverley Howard (Chris), nieces Jodie Worley and Barb Taylor (Matt McNabb), great-nephews Jacob Taylor-Ray (Fiancé Megan) and Cameron Worley. He will be missed by many other family members, and close friends, including Elizabeth Beer (Matt Blecker). Predeceased by his parents Doris Louise and Harold Stanley Beer and his sister Barbara Ann (1959).

Robert was born in Toronto. He was well known for his computer skills and his interest in chess. He was a past chef and past Master of Lake Shore No 645 and Superior Lodge No 501. Robert was loved and adored by his community.

A special thank you to the staff at Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga, as well as the amazing staff and volunteers at Ian Anderson House.

Cremation has taken place. Family and Friends will be received at THE SIMPLE ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL CENTRE- MISSISSAUGA 1535 South Gateway Road (at Dixie Road, two lights south of Eglinton) 905-602-1580 for a Celebration of Roberts Life on Sunday, July 6th, 2025, at 2 p.m. A visitation will be held one hour prior.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Ian Anderson House, Prostate Cancer Research, or The Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

To the Beer Family
Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.
I had the pleasure of knowing Bob for many years and considered him a good friend.
After his period of suffering, Bob is now in a better place.
RIP Pal. I'm sure we'll meet again, and I'll once again be able to call upon your expertise to get me out of yet another problem with my PC.

An honest and caring man! I always enjoyed our time together including dinners we had at Swiss Chalet with Hanz & Bob! U will be remembered as well as missed.
