Rita Eleanor Barber

March 31, 1933 -  May 7, 2017

Rita Eleanor Barber, 84, passed away peacefully at her residence in Brampton, Ontario, on Sunday May 7, 2017.

She was preceded by her parents Kenneth and May Ferdinands and her husband Denzil.

Rita is survived by her 6 children - David (Min), Denise (Harry), Florence (Glen), Vivian (Vilma), Althea (Jude) and Steven (Megan), 17 grand-children, 7 great grand-children and last but not least her trusty bread-hound, Leo James.

Rita lived life her way...to the fullest. She was never without a smile and left a positive impression on whoever she met. She was loving, kind and generous, she never held a grudge and lived according to her motto: two wrongs never make a right. She was happiest when surrounded by her family, friends and a cold beer.

It was Rita's wish that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.

Auntie Rita was such a lovely person. I often think about about all the times we spent together and all the amazing food your mom cooked. Auntie Rita meant a lot to me and she will be missed and not forgotten.

Words are inadequate to express my sadness but she is in a better place and rocking heaven.

May your hearts be filled with peace and comfort.
