Surrounded by the love of his family, Risto died peacefully on Saturday, January 8, 2022 in his 88th year. He will be remembered by his loving wife of 67 years and his son Peter and daughter in law Sandy and his daughter Suzana. A loving Grandfather to his Grandchildren Christopher Nikolovski and spouse Mara, Patricia Nikolovski and spouse Charles, Paul Nikolovski and spouse Melissa.

Born in the mountain village of Kanino, Macedonia to Pande and Altona Nikolovski in 1933. Risto worked hard from an early age as a farmer and in his teens joined the army. Growing up, he experienced many hardships and faced adversity and these experiences shaped the amazing man he came to be. He met Lena, the love of his life and in 1959 he moved to Sydney Australia in search of a better life, leaving his family behind. He worked at Morris Corp. manufacturing cars, and in five years, he had saved enough money to bring his family over to join him. Through hard work and determination, they achieved their dream of home ownership. Risto and Lena moved their family to Toronto, Canada in 1971. Through their example, their children and grandchildren learned the value of hard work. Even during a long and happy retirement, he took pride in a job well done, whether it was his love of gardening or watching his favorite soccer team with his family around him, laughing and telling stories. Risto never lost his love and desire for his beloved Macedonia. His biggest pride was spending time with his grandchildren. He will truly be missed.
