Richard will be remembered for his remarkable individuality, intelligence and strength.

Richard was a great survivor and he will remain in my memory as a stubborn, focused, and determined man who kept outliving his prognosis. Perle enjoyed an adventurous time with him during his graduate student days, and will miss him now as the repository of her youth and the process of marriage, parenting, and care-giving. That shared history is a difficult loss of closeness, but their children and grandchildren can help to remember the remarkable person he was.

Dear Perle and family. I’m sorry for your loss. I have a happy memory of sharing an evening with Richard as we cleaned Ben and James’ daycare toys many years ago!

Thinking of you and hoping you find peace in many more family memories. Bev
