My heartfelt condolences to Debbie and Richard's family. Always remember the great job Richard did each and every Canada Day when he worked at Centennial Park along with all his other accomplishments. Richard was a kind, compassionate, and always helpful.
May warm memories of Richard help all of you through your grief,

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Richard. A friend and colleague, we curled together for a number of years, worked on a number of provincial games and worked in the same office for several years. I am shocked and saddened by Richard's passing and pray for him, his family and friends.
Very sad to hear of Richard's passing. My sincere sympathy to his family and friends. He will always be remembered by his work family at Etobicoke Parks and Recreation.
On behalf of my Mom, Joan Yates, recently deceased and I as her daughter - sincere condolences to Richard's family. Joan worked with Richard at Albion Community Center, alongside Rick and I worked as a summer student at the pool and community center, reporting to Richard, back in the 1980s. He was a kind and gentle soul and I know my Mom Joan had fond memories of their conversations and friendship.
I am so sad to have heard about Richard's passing. We go so far back, to 1983 . . . and many, many great memories of our families together whether it be on vacations, visits to each others homes, curling or playing golf, or just hanging out. We had great times together and I have a box full of photos as a reminder. I pray Richard is free from turmoil now, and is finally at peace . . . . xoxo
