May 28, 1940 - December 25, 2023

Passed away in Oshawa on December 25, 2023 at the age of 83. Loving father of Lisa and Sharon, Stepfather to Mark and Grandfather (Boompa) of Kirsten. Richard will also be greatly missed by his ex wife Marcia, sister Marjorie, nephew Brian and nieces Margaret and Heather as well as extended family and friends. He will be forever remembered for his caring and compassionate heart, his love of nature and its beauty and his always present entrepreneurial spirit. He was a great counsellor and rock for his family. A private funeral service will take place on Monday, January 8th, 2024.

Condolences to the family. I met Richard at Wolmers school in Kingston Jamaica at the age of 10. We met again in later years in England and I took him of a tour of Brighton on the Sussex coast. While he was living in South Florida he came to Jacksonville on business and we met again and he came over to our house for dinner and we shared stories of happy days growing up in Jamaica! I remember him as always being creative and coming up with all sorts of ideas. Canada was home for him and he fulfilled his dreams with his family close by.
