In memory of

Richard Chiasson

May 17, 1946 -  November 28, 2024

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard “Whitey” Chiasson on November 28, 2024. Richard was born in Toronto on May 17, 1946 to parents Eva Pitre and Homer Chiasson. Predeceased by his siblings George, Earl and Denise. Loving father of Michelle, Jasmine and Earl. Grandfather to seven granddaughters and one grandson. Missed by many, forever remembered by friends, family and his brothers of the Vagabonds Motorcycle Club. Richard enjoyed dropping in to visit family and friends from far and wide. Some of his favorite memories were times spent riding his Harleys, being in nature, swimming and hunting. He passionately built his log cabin in Sundridge where friends and family came together. He completed many educational and training certificates, including scuba diving, small plane licence, carpentry, and sheet metal; he also worked as a driver and carpenter on movie sets. Richard was always a lover not a fighter; a giver, not a taker; and one who taught many to be a leader, not a follower. He was the life of the party and will forever be missed.
Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Monday December 9th, 2024 from 11:00am - 1:00pm, Service to begin at 1pm. A private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, if you would like to make a donation in honour of Richard "Whitey", please make a monetary or physical donation to your local food bank or soup kitchen. We feel this would be our dad's wishes as he was always helping people in times of need.

The Ride Home

Today my ride is out of sight.
The cruise towards the most beautiful light.
The road reveals a pearly gate.
That's where I'll stay for you I wait.
I'v travelled life at my own pace, embracing the sun upon my face.
I look above for open air and all the wind blown through this Vagabond’s hair.
My family friends, lessons learned.
I cherish all for my page has turned.
As darkness bids farewell to light My kick stands down the journey ends....
My soul now sleeps I'll miss you friends.

R.I.P Uncle Whitey
