In memory of

Dr. Riaz Munir Nizami

November 27, 1930 -  February 23, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Dr. Riaz Munir Nizami. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 94. He was a devoted husband to Rabia, a cherished father, a dedicated Allergist to many communities, a world traveller and a true friend to many. Born in Raipur India he was a committed Canadian for over 55 years serving as a volunteer army reserve medic, with the rank of Captain for several years.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly request a donation to be made as a memorial contribution to either Sick Children’s Hospital where he so proudly worked for many years or the Princess Margaret Hospital.

Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find solace in knowing that our father is now resting with the comfort of reuniting with our mother. His legacy of wisdom and kindness shaped by his care for family and the pursuit of knowledge will continue to guide and inspire us each and every day. He is survived by his, sister Famida and brother Moiz, children, Iftikhar (Claire), Nilofer (Bessam), Amin (Songul), Yasmin (David) and Arif (Sacha) and his grandchildren, Aliya, Janan (Arita), Layla, Aaron, Lenox, Talia, Rayna, Marcel and great grandchild River.
