In memory of

Raymond Leonard Parker

October 19, 1931 -  June 8, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raymond Leonard Parker at 87 years of age. Ray passed away peacefully in his sleep June 8, 2019 at Providence Healthcare Palliative Unit. Sadly Ray had cancer and lived with Alzheimer’s the past couple of years. Ray was the beloved husband of Peggy (Margaret), father to Leslie (Pete) and Larry (Susan), grandfather to Christopher, Devon, Stephen, Landon, Ryan and Sarah and big brother to his only surviving sibling Connie (Chuck). Ray was a kind, smart, strong yet quiet man who was very handy and could do and fix most things. He lived a life rich in family and friends. He enjoyed travelling, sailing, fishing, a good party and a scotch but was best known for generously lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it. We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to the most kind, caring, patient and compassionate angels at Providence Healthcare Palliative Unit who treat your loved one like their own. A small Celebration of life will be held on June 23 from 1:00-3:00 at The Simple Alternative. 1057 Brock Road. Pickering. In lieu of flowers the family would most appreciate a donation to The Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Society or Providence Healthcare Palliative Unit.
