In memory of

Ramson Biang Fah Chin

July 1, 1938 -  September 5, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ramson on Saturday, September 5th, 2020 at the age of 82. He is deeply missed by his beloved wife of 60 years Daisy (nee Kong). He will be forever remembered by his loving daughters, Marcia (Wes Ing) and Susan (Charles Snelgrove), his cherished grandchildren, Christopher Ing, Mackenzie and Connor Snelgrove, his adoring sister Yvonne Chin and dear brother Edward Chin.

Ramson was born in PO-ON China in 1938. He came to Jamaica at the age of 16. At the age of 21 he met his wife Daisy and got married in 1961. Soon after he had 2 daughters; Marcia and Susan. In Jamaica he was a shop owner for 15 years and then moved to Canada in 1976 where he continued to be a shop owner until his retirement in 2005. During his retirement he spent it with family and enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow-up. On a regular basis he enjoyed cooking meals for his family to make sure their bellies were full and after dinner he would ask with Ramson style "Who want tea ??".

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private family service will be held at Elgin Mills Funeral Centre and Cemetery. Condolences and expressions of sympathy may be conveyed through Ramson’s memorial page. If so desired, please consider a donations to Mackenzie Health Centre. Thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time.

Dear Daisy and Family:

It has been an honour to know Ramson. He was a kind gentleman with great wisdom in many areas, but in particular he had great insight into human nature. I will miss his spirit; out of sight, but never out of mind. God bless his soul and may God keep you strong during this sad time. Deepest sympathies. Jeanette

Dear Susan and family,

My wife and I were very sad to hear of the loss of your father. We hope that in these times of sadness and loss that you can gain comfort in being with each other and sharing the laughs and good times that you had with him. I believe strongly that those that have gone before us are, in small ways, still with us... in the eyes of our kids, in the legacy they left behind and in the stories we tell about them. Hold your kids tight and remember fondly the times you shared with him and know your work family is thinking of you.

With respect,

Jeff and Leslie Lamb

From the stories you told, I know you and your father shared a most amazing bond. The type of parent everyone should be so lucky to have in their lives. I am sorry for your tremendous loss. Let the memories of your fathers life provide you and your family with the comfort you need during this challenging time. Your work friends are here for you, you are in our constant thoughts.
