In memory of

Ramilia Gilmutdinova

May 3, 1957 -  January 4, 2023

Words cannot express how much our beloved mother, Ramilia, is missed.

Ramilia took her final breath on January 4th, 2023, surrounded by her daughters and son in law. Ramilia was determined to get stronger and enjoy her next chapter of life in Canada, which already became her second home.

Ramilia was born and spent her life in Kazan, Russia. She was brought up by her mother, Rashida. Both Ramilia and Rashida instilled so much love and care within the family. This love continues to grow and ignite our hearts.

Ramilia often mentioned that the most beautiful moments of her life were associated with her daughters’ childhood times. She was always supportive and proud of their achievements. While being miles away, she maintained strong connection with her daughters and beloved grandchildren, Elina, Sofia, and Lev. Grandchildren remember her with deepest love as she always uplifted them and expressed her love and care in many beautiful ways.

Ramilia was a highly respected teacher who transformed many lives. She saw potential in every student and she was devoted to help uncover that potential.

Ramilia was a gardener and an artist at heart. Plants and flowers were always thriving around her. She saw beauty in many things. In the past years she found peace in drawing and painting.

To honor Ramilia’s memory, her family is holding a celebration of her life on Wednesday, January 11th, 2023, 6 - 7 pm. We kindly ask attendees to not wear black as Ramilia always preferred brighter and beautiful colors.

When I think of my cousins’ beloved Mom, I remember a beautiful and kind woman full of delicate elegance and love for nature. I have always admired her dedication to raising her daughters. I remember spending summers with my cousins when aunt Ramilia was teaching us about gardening and various arts and crafts. I still have a vivid memory of her showing me the art of macrame and helping me make an owl out of twigs and rope that I had proudly displayed in our summer cottage for as long as I can remember. She was very proud of Eleonora’s and Diana’s accomplishments and loved them and their families with all her heart. She will be missed tremendously. Our deepest sympathy from all of us.
