Loving husband, father, father-in law, grandfather and brother.
Rajcoomar Persaud age 77 years of 186 Church Street, Brampton and formally of Lot 5 Strand, New Amsterdam, Berbice, Guyana, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 30th, 2024, at Brampton Civic Hospital with his family by his side.
He was the beloved husband of Joycelyn Persaud for 55 years.
Rajcoomar was born on July 22nd, 1947, in Berbice, Guyana. A son of the late Jaipersaud and Annie Persaud. Prior to his retirement, Rajcoomar worked as a Shipper Receiver in Canada. He enjoyed listening to oldies music and watching cricket. He was also an electronic hobbyist.
His highlight for the day was calling his children on the famous messenger “Family Chat.”
Rajcoomar’s greatest joy was his wife, spending time watching television shows such as soap operas, cricket and the news. He was a humble man that showed appreciation for all his blessings and was extremely generous to so many.
Besides his wife Joycelyn of 186 Church Street, Brampton, Rajcoomar leaves to mourn his children Raj Anthony Persaud and his wife Andrea of Guyana, Michelle and her fiancé Richard of Canada, Coreen of Canada, Liza and her husband Desmond of The Bahamas and Natalie and her husband Navin of New York. His eight grandchildren, Diana, Christopher, Ethan, Andrew, Georga, Heavenly, Matthew and Enrique and great grandfather of Alayna. He also leaves to mourn his sisters, Pearly, Elizabeth and Lyn. Brothers Calvin, Dennis and Mikey, all of Guyana and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
