In memory of

Rajamma Mathews

December 19, 1937 -  December 22, 2023

On Friday, December 22, 2023, Rajamma Mathews went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Daughter, Sister, Mother, and Grandmother, she is survived by her two sisters, Babyamma and Ponnamma; her son, Joy, daughter-in-law, Lisa; grandchildren, Emily and Joshua, and, of course, her amusing cat, Bella.

Rajamma Mathews was born on December 19, 1937, to her late parents, Zachariah and Annamma. She was the middle child of three and left home at the early age of sixteen to pursue a career in nursing. Her ambition brought her to Canada in the early 1970’s where she pursued her dreams.

Her unrelenting positive spirit was evident in everything that she did - raising her son as a single-mother, continuously connecting with family members, and diligently providing care as a nurse. In times of need, Rajamma managed life difficulties with grace and strength, all the while maintaining an unwavering belief in her faith.

She will be missed.

Our family would like to thank you for your prayers and support during this time.
Your shared memories, comforting condolences, and gesture of love are truly appreciated.

Myself and Sajimole have had the privilege of visiting Rajammamma on 3rd November this year. She was a woman with great values, kept the warm relationships she nurtured over these years, kept unwavering faith in the Lord and maintained a liberal line of theology. Her family with all the dear and near ones was her world. She was always eager to share the fond memories of the past with passion. We really miss her love and concern, but hoping to reunite with her on the shore.

We didn't have the pleasure of meeting but I have nonetheless been impacted by you. You raised an incredible human who I am privileged to call my friend. Rest in peace.
