In memory of

Radmila "Rada" Trebinjac

August 16, 1949 -  January 18, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mama, grandma and sister, Radmila 'Rada' Trebinjac on January 18, 2022 at the Toronto General Hospital. Rada leaves behind her oldest daughter Milada and her husband Almir, her son Zoran and his wife Elena and her youngest daughter Sabina, as well as a brother Dragan and her sister-in-law Zeljka and four grandchildren.

Rada was a mechanical engineer by trade in her native Yugoslavia, having crossed the Atlantic and settled in Canada in the mid-90s, along with her three children.
Upon arrival to Canada, Rada rediscovered her passion for fashion and was frequently awarded top salesperson. She also loved creating jewelry, vacations with family, cooking, and also famously baking for family on special occasions.

Rada dreamed of travelling more after the pandemic, regaining her health and vitality, and enjoying more time with her kids, grandkids and family. She was an epitome of a strong heart and unshakeable spirit.

She was an also avid reader, a passion she passed on to her children at an early age, a protector and an individual deeply committed to causes she believed in.

Special thanks to the wonderful staff at the Toronto General Hospital.

Love you, mama

You are flying high now, mama
May angels give you wings,
Your three darlings say goodbye
Hiding how much it stings

It pains, it hurts, it touches us deep
As our mama goes to forever sleep
Perhaps the sorrow never washes away
But for your peace and comfort we pray

You have given us life
Then you helped fuel our dreams
It cuts like a sharp knife
As you have left, or so it seems.

You taught me to love, you taught me to care
Never to shove and always to dare
You taught me to yearn, you taught me to plan
You guided me gently to become a man.

You truly loved words
And passed that love on to me
So one sad day in 2022
I could rhyme for all the world to see.

You are flying high now, mama
May angels give you wings,
Your three darlings say goodbye
How unbearable a pain this brings.

Poslednji pozdrav dragoj i hrabroj Radmili, velikom borcu, sjajnoj majci i baki. Uvijek ćemo se sjecati njenog osmijeha, optimizma i mirnoće kojom je osvajala sviju oko sebe.
