It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Rachel (Rae) Christine Veinotte (nee MacLeod) who passed away at the age of 99 in Ajax, Ontario. Rachel was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ronald, and their daughter, Linda. Rachel will be lovingly remembered and missed by her sons, Ronald "Perry" (Donna) and Donald Eric. She was the cherished grandmother of Kerri (Don), Jason (Margaret); and great-grandmother to Taylor, Curtis (Adriana), Erin (Holly) and Hannah; and great-great-grandmother to Emma and Myles.

Rachel was born to the late Alex and Sadie MacLeod in Grand River, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. She was a very strong and progressive woman. Following a lengthy career with Towers, Rachel pursued her love of travel and enjoyed spending winters in Florida. She also lived in the Bahamas for a period of time. Some of her favourite pastimes included watching Blue Jays games and golf; she was quite fond of Tiger Woods. Rachel loved her family more than anything else. Her presence, warm smile, and loving nature will be dearly missed by everyone that knew her.
