Quan Lily

December 20, 1938 -  November 4, 2022

Lily Quan, beloved widowed wife of Mr. Ho Chuen Lloyd Quan of Toronto, to whom she was married for 33 years, passed away peacefully at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon on November 4, 2022 at the age of 83 years. She was the loving mother of William Quan, known affectionately as Billy (Adelaine). She will also be dearly missed by her two grandchildren, Zachary and Xander. Lily will also be lovingly remembered by her brother, Stephen Lau (Fidelia). She was predeceased by Ho Chuen Lloyd Quan (husband), Lau Po Chi (father), Kwan Keu Sai (mother), Roberto (brother), Nancy (sister), Harris (brother), and Xavier (grandson). She was born in Kow Kong, China and moved to Hong Kong in her early years. She moved to Toronto, Canada before living her last years in Saskatoon. She worked briefly as a seamstress and teacher before marrying her husband Lloyd and becoming a homemaker. Other than being a doting mother and grandmother, she loved playing mah jong to mingle with friends and family and venturing out to the casino to play the slots. She also enjoyed watching her favourite TV game shows, which were Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and most of all, The Price is Right. She relished travelling and eating good food. Her favourites were Chinese roast pork and duck, congee, and just a good ole bowl of hot soup. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Lily's memory to the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital Foundation https://pattisonchildrens.ca/ Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre (160 Beecroft Rd, North York, ON).
