Pui Ying "Polly" Fung was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, godmother, sister, and friend. She peacefully went to heaven on October 12, 2024, at 89 years old, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Hong Kong on March 18, 1935, on the Lunar calendar. She met her husband, Chuen Yiu "Johnny" Fung, on a church trip to Cheung Chau. Together, they had four children: David, Thomas, Helen, and Nelly.

Pui Ying cherished spending time with her children, godchildren and grandchildren. She upheld family traditions and loved to celebrate holidays with her family. The family home in Thornhill was often filled with laughter, delicious food, and endless hours of mah-jong.

Pui Ying is survived by her husband, Chuen Yiu; two sons, David and Thomas; two daughters, Helen and Nelly; six grandchildren, Rachel, Hannah, Enoch, Julian, Lilian and Cecilia; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Christopher; two goddaughters, Betty and Carmen.

The visitation and funeral service to celebrate her life is scheduled for 11:00am on October 17, 2024, at Elgin Mills Cemetery.
