In memory of
Pui Fong Hui
April 12, 1925 -
August 21, 2018
Our beloved mother, Hui Li Pui Fong, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at the age of 93 at the Yee Hong Scarborough Finch Centre for Geriatric Care with her son Yue Sing and his wife Tilda, daughter Kwai Chun and son Yue Ping by her side. Our mother, Pui Fong, had been suffering from the late stage of Alzheimer’s Disease in her later years and was under the care of Yee Hong for the past 5 years.
Our mother, Pui Fong, was a caring mother to her three children, son Yue Sing with wife Tilda, daughter Kwai Chun with husband John and son Yue Ping with wife Teresa. She worked diligently her whole life as a housewife supporting her predeceased husband, Hui Po Lam, who was gradually promoted to a very respectable Hong Kong Government position as the Deputy Minister of the Ministry for Chinese Affairs before his retirement in the mid-seventies. She was a loving grandmother to Katherine, Richard, Christine, Matthew, Hillary, Justin, Timothy and John Junior. She was also a proud great-grandmother of Audrey, Chelsea, Jasmine, Nathaniel, and Declyn. The love and care from our mother enabled us, her children, to have successful and rewarding careers of our own. Her thoughtfulness, support and her creative sewing and culinary skills will always be remembered.
Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the interdisciplinary care team at the Yee Hong Scarborough Finch Centre for having provided extraordinary care and services to our beloved mother for the past five years, giving her some quality of life experiences despite her debilitating disease.
Our mother, Hui Li Pui Fong, will always be deeply remembered in our hearts.
