In memory of

Phyllis Moreau (nee Pitts)

September 11, 1920 -  August 16, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Phyllis Moreau in her 98th year. Predeceased by her husband Jack (passed at age 41), she embraced the challenge of raising her 5 children Barbara (Gary), Judy, the late Linda, Mary Ellen (John) and John (Shanet). Phyllis will also be dearly missed by Howard. Loving grandmother of Jack (Amanda), Derek (Karen), Brent (Leslie), Jenn (Steve), Katie (Bill), Stephanie (Kevin) Amy and Jake. Great grandmother of Wade, Sarah, Katie, Jacob, Evan, Brady, Ty, Will, Dawson and Taylor. At Phyllis’ request a private service will be held for the immediate family followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to PSW’s Shelley, Ruth, Delores and Patricia for the care and compassion shown to Phyllis and her family. Arrangements entrusted to THORNTON CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787). In memory of Phyllis, donations can be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
Phyllis will be forever remembered for her selflessness, dedication to her family, tenacity, strength and resiliency. Traits that she instilled into her children.

Dearest Barb, Gary and families;
Our deepest sympathy and condolences. We were so sorry to read that your dearest mom has passed. She lived a long, amazing and courageous life. She enjoyed many years of wonderful dedication from her family, the most important Blessing.
May the Good Lord Bless and keep her, and may you have peace in your hearts and souls for having the privilege of being her family for so many years, and to know that she is no longer suffering and is in God’s hands.
Such amazing lady, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. We remember the visiting her home in Toronto and always thought the world of your Mom.
Thinking of you at this very difficult time,
Love Larry, Fran and family.

Phyllis was a great person and a good sport always joining in with the various family
