July 3, 1929 -  October 11, 2018

Phyllis Louise entered this world as a loving Light on July,3 1929 in Sydney,Cape Breton.

Phyllis was a wonderful and complex woman that was loved, is missed and will always be cherished. She was an amazing wife, mom, daughter, sister and adored Nana and great Nana.

Mom peacefully left us on Thursday,October,11 2018 and was greeted by all those who have gone before her:

Charles and Hannah MacLeod her beloved parents, her loving husband Curly(Omer) Marcil,George McKay her adored brother-in-law.

We would like to acknowledge her deeply loved friends from Rushley Drive,who were all very special to her where she had lived for 65 years.

Those left behind to miss and cherish her memories are her loving children; daughter Heather Ramsay, son Marty and daughter-in-law Kim, grandsons Tim Marcil, Jason and wife Brittany Marcil, great granddaughters Meghan 9 and Kahlan 3. Dylan Marcil and Matthew Marcil.

Daughter Cathy and son-in-law Klaus Grober, granddaughters Jessica and husband Brad Cowan and great grandsons Nolan 5 and Max 3. Sarah and husband Peter Till and great grandchidren Hannah 3 and Jack 8 mths.

She also leaves behind her cherished sister and friend Verna McKay of Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Mom's Light lives on in all of us and for that we are forever grateful.

In lieu of flowers a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Allways a smile and giggle I'll remember! When I was young I remember my mom Bev Martin and I I think I was 10 and Aunt Verna wanted to take me home with her my mom wouldn't let me go but Phill said oh let her go she'll have the time of her life

Another of the Fabulous Five ladies of Rushley has left this world and it will be forever changed. Growing up on Rushley I have so many fond memories. The women had such a strong friendship and connection to each other that has left so many lasting memories amongst us. Dora, Joan, Phil, Pat and Bev their love of their family grows within all who they touched. I will always admire their friendship and be forever thankful for growing up on Rushley.
Take comfort and share all your precious memories she lives on within you. You are all in our thoughts.
