In memory of

Althere Louisa Mathilda Phillips

March 14, 1951 -  May 9, 2020

Althere Louisa Mathilda Phillips (nee Jacobs) was born on March 14, 1951 to Willie and Gertrude Jacobs in Castries, St. Lucia at Victoria Hospital. She passed away peacefully and comfortably at home while surrounded by family on May 9, 2020 in Toronto, Canada.

Althere persevered through challenges most of her life with the support of her family and friends, with faith and by the Grace of God.

She was a sister to Arthur (“Jakes”) and Leonilla. A cousin to Cecilia, Paul, Thaddeus, Victor (in Boston) and Victor (in St.Lucia). A mother to Valerie. An Aunt to Malaika, Anastasia, Barbara and Laurima. A grandaunt to Desiree, Dania, Naeye, Oliver, Dane and Asher. A relative to extended family. A friend to many.

She will be greatly missed but not forgotten.

She will be remembered for her gentle and pleasant demeanor, her quiet strength and determination, her love for her family and family gatherings, her appreciation for stylish things, her kindness and her contagious smile. She was an earnest person who was proud of her Catholic faith and her St. Lucian heritage.

Thank you to everyone who kept her in their prayers…especially during her last few months with us.

A Heartfelt Thank you to everyone who is able to attend her Memorial in-person and through live-stream.

We are comforted in the knowledge that she is now with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

~ May God Richly Bless You ~
