Philip was born on April 24, 1951 to Ontario (Terry) and Jesse in Sault Ste. Marie along with brother John and sister Cathy.

He graduated from University of Windsor then started his career at the City of Toronto. He made many friendships where he ultimately met Lorie Totanes whom he married in 1977. Philip was a devoted husband, loving father to sons Tony and Michael, and adoring Lolo (grandfather) to Ashley, Tyson, Maximus, and Gabriel.

Phil was a super nice person. For many years when he would take Tyson and Ashley to school- he would then come over and talk to me and parents before going home.
It saddens me to hear about his passing! He always had a smile on his face.

I am very saddened to hear of Phil's passing and my heart breaks for his beloved family.
Phil always certainly put his family first, which is admirable.
I loved working with Phil at Attwell Social Services. He always had so many fun stories and jokes to tell. Phil always made me laugh, especially when he would start cracking up and the tears would come out of his eyes and he'd have to take off his glasses! He had a wonderful way of looking at the world. Phil could find the humor in everything. Phil was always very caring and respectful towards the clients that he helped. And he was always there to lend a hand with his colleagues.
Phil will always hold a very special place in my heart.
Sending lots of love to your family.
