In memory of

Rev. Philip Philips

February 14, 1936 -  June 30, 2021

Philip Philips passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Beloved husband to Stella for 54 years and cherished father of Christina. He will be missed by his siblings, Roseamma, Kurian and George, siblings-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who felt like family. Predeceased by his parents Annamma and Philipose and also heartbreakingly by sisters Pennamma, Lucykutty and Susan and brother Billy.

Born February 14, 1936, in Thidinad, Kerala, India. He first worked in business before being called into full-time ministry, serving first as an Airforce Chaplain and Pastor in India then as an Airport Chaplain and Pastor in Canada. This was a man whose desire was to serve God and the people created in His image. Philip lived and loved well – to honour and glorify Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 41:10 “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand.”

Farewell uncle, till we all meet again in the presence of the Lord. Rest in peace.

Philippians 3:20-21
But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. 21 He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control.

Uncle and Grandpa Philip was very dear to all three of us. He is the one who led both Charisma and Carina to The LORD, and both of them got baptized .
He was always there to guide us and prayer for and with us. He offered prayerful counsel. We will miss him dearly. A strong pillar whenever we needed support.
May you rest in Peace and may God's Peace and strength may abide with Auntie Stella and dear Christina.
With a hope to meet again forever.
Blessings

I had the privilege of knowing uncle all my life. I know he had a calming presence, a kindness towards us. He brought laughter, sincere smiles and a warm heart whenever he visited. The twinkle in his eyes when he spoke of aunty n Chris…the joy of his life (apart from God). His one aim for us was to know and grow in the Lord. I still remember the many instructions we got every time family from Canada came to visit n stay with us, but uncle was never as daunting as we expected… he let us be ourselves n watched our antics. I remember him sharing from the book of James at Balaji Road. The memories he leaves are only joyful ones and we will hold on to them dearly.
Uncle will be missed but he would want us to keep going on, to fight the good fight, keep the faith and finish the course. He left us a truly godly example.
We all loved uncle, Philip Appacha as the boys called him. Praying for my dear aunty n Chris… May the memories fill your heart and carry you thru life. May the God of uncle Philip pour out His love, grace and compassion on you n fill you with comfort, strength n hope. Love you and praying for you all

Rest In Peace dear Pastor uncle, until we meet again on that beautiful shore.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the LORD, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." ~2 Timothy 4:7-8.
