In memory of

Peter Sokmas

November 26, 1977 -  July 6, 2024

Panteli (Peter) Sokmas, 46, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, after a valiant battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Peter cherished moments spent with family and friends and was a symbol of strength and unwavering support to all who knew him. His infectious laugh and boundless enthusiasm for life touched all of our lives. Peter had a smile that could light up a room. Peter exemplified a steadfast commitment to his faith that guided him through every aspect of his life, especially the last several years in which he faced such adversity. Peter’s faith gave him the courage to face his struggles with grace and endurance, all while maintaining an incredible sense of humor.

Peter is survived by his loving mother, Ioanna (Nouli) Sokmas; devoted brother of Sophie, and Angelo Sokmas (Sarah). Beloved and cherished uncle of Alex, Marina, Paige and Michael.

Peter’s indomitable spirit, determination and perseverance were a testament to his family and dedicated caregivers, most notably his mother. He will be deeply missed.

Peter have such a big heart of gold. Each day i visit him, he asks how am i and my love ones, he always wears an infectious big smile even i know he had a rough night or day. He never complains and he was always appreciative and grateful no matter how big or small you do for his care. Our policy says never get attached to a client but it is very hard to practice that with Peter, he was a client but also feels like a brother to me. He will be missed alot.

Peter I’ll never forget the day I showed up at your house with my turn tables and laptop all hours of the morning, just ready to rock it out for you and your guests. As you sat there and smiled watching everyone around you dancing and having fun you looked over at me and said thank you for this Shannon. I put my hands in prayer then and I put my hands in prayer today. Now you can dance to my sets once again. Watch over our babies xoxox
