In memory of

Peter Smirnis

June 28, 1958 -  September 18, 2025

Peter Smirnis, age 67 of Innisfil, Ontario, passed away suddenly on September 18, 2025.

Born on June 28, 1958 in Toronto, Peter was the beloved son of the late Traianos and Polexeni Smirnis. He graduated from Birchmount Collegiate in 1976.

Peter was married to the love of his life Rose Smirnis (predeceased), together they raised two beautiful children and built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Peter was a devoted husband and a loving father to Shawn (Isabella) Smirnis and Nicole Smirnis. He is also survived by his sister, Mary (Smirnis) Vajda, brother Jim Smirnis.
Loved by his in laws Bill & Mary Mintsopoulos, Sister in law Teresa (Mintsopoulos) Alexopoulos (predeceased brother in law Dani Alexopoulos), brother in law Dan & sister in law Martha Mintsopoulos, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Peter dedicated over 45 years in the Telecom business. He was admired for his integrity, strong work ethic, and commitment to improving life for others.

He was the one we all called when something needed fixing because he always knew how to make it right. With a steady hand and a heart full of patience, he mended what was broken, not just in our homes, but in our lives. There was no tool he couldn’t master, no project too big, no problem too small. He didn’t just build and fix, he gave. Quietly, selflessly, endlessly. His legacy is in every tightened bolt, and every life he touched with those gifted hands. We’ll miss the sound of his tools, and the comfort of knowing he could always make things right.

Peter had a deep love for his Corvette and the Corvette club family. He will be remembered for his genuine heart, warm smile, and unwavering kindness. A very generous loving man gone way too soon.

Family and friends are invited to Pine Hills Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Road for visitation on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, September 26, 2025 from 9 - 11 a.m. with the Funeral Service to follow.
