In memory of

Peter Proceviat

January 28, 1925 -  August 17, 2021

Born in Elma, Manitoba, Peter moved to Toronto in his 20's. While out socializing, he met Mary Gibson whom he asked to marry him on their third date. They raised their family, Catherine and Kevin, in Scarborough on Armada Court, where Pete and Mary became life-long friends with many of their neighbours.

Pete made one of the first original "Man Caves" in his garage where many stories were told, beers consumed and motors worked on. He loved fishing and spent many years with a rod in his hand, sometimes actually returning with fish. He loved telling stories and everyone that he met came away a bit wiser, a bit entertained and always feeling that they had made a new friend.

He is missed by so many, especially his family consisting of Kevin, Amanda and his granddaughters Samantha and Magdalene and her partner Nick. As well as Catherine, Dan, his granddaughter Danielle and her husband Scott, grandson Jason and his wife Melissa and their three great-grandchildren to Papa, Quinn, Tristan and Briar.

You will be remembered as the family story teller, who gave love, guidance, kindness and assistance to anyone that asked. You showed us to be better people by your actions and showed us what a life well lived is. You will be forever in our hearts and in our minds as we remember all the amazing things you accomplished, the help you handed out readily, and the imprint that you left in all the people that have known and loved you.

We love you Dad, Pete, Papa and Great-Papa.

Dear Cathy, Kevin & families —

I was just informed of your dad’s passing…My thoughts and prayers are with you all…I will always remember your dad’s many scary stories he would tell on the way to the cottage in Muskoka…He always had a story to tell…A long life contributing to society and local community…He and his garage were a very important part of Armada Court …My dad and Pete were great lifelong friends watching many Leafs games together in our rec room…A long life well lived and remembered…Kindest regards…Harvey
