May 26, 1936 -  December 30, 2024

Surrounded by the love of his family, Peter died peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2024 in palliative care at Markham-Stouffville Hospital at the age of 88 years old. He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his children, Connie (Andre) and Jeff (Kathy). He was a devoted and loving “Gong-Gong / Yeh-Yeh” to Jacob, Georgia, Victoria and Caitlyn. He will be remembered by his extended family and friends as everyone’s favourite Uncle for his kindness, for helping his family emigrate from China to Canada. His Funeral will be at Elgin Mills Cemetery & Funeral Centres (1591 Elgin Mills Rd E, Richmond Hill), Saturday, January 4, 2024 with visitation 12:30-1:30 pm, and funeral service 1:30-2:30 pm. Please join us at 3:30 pm for the Funeral Feast at Congee Queen (230 Commerce Valley Dr E #1, Thornhill - 8 kms from Elgin Mills)

The legacy our uncle Peter has left behind is profound. I imagine it as a long, rich tapestry woven with his life and impact on others in both small and lifechanging moments. This includes his unique experience of coming to and building a life in Canada as well as the stories lived by all who knew and were loved by him. My own family is grateful to have been loved by uncle Peter. He sponsored my aunt Nancy’s two parents and her six siblings (one being my father).

Decades later, I can see the tremendous impact he has had on all of our lives. While we will miss him, he will never be forgotten.

What a blessing it was to have him in our lives.
