In memory of

Peter Ioannou

April 1, 1941 -  December 15, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of Peter Ioannou announce his passing on December 15th, 2023 at the age of 82.

Peter will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 54 years, Militsa; his 2 daughters, Mira (Peter) and Chrisa (Jason) and Peter's granddaughters (his Koukles) that he adored, Ava, Grace, Lily and Charlotte.

Peter was born on April 1, 1941 in Kolossi, Cyprus. At the age of 26, he came to Toronto, Canada to start a new life with greater opportunity. He reconnected with Militsa in Toronto, who had come for the same purpose. That is when their love story began, creating a long life full of memories that his family will cherish forever.

Peter was an extremely talented tradesman. His work ethic was inspiring and everything he did was to provide for his wife and daughters. Peter loved his cars, created award winning gardens and was infamous for his extraordinary metal craftmanship.

But above all, he will be fondly remembered for his enormous and generous heart. Everyone reflects on how special Peter made them feel and the genuine connection he made with everyone he knew - his warmth and kindness was endless.

Donations in Peter's memory may be made to the Evangelismos Theotokou, Saints Nectarios and Gerasimos Greek Orthodox Church of Oshawa in person or via the following church link https://www.goevangelismos.com/covid-19-relief-fund.html

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Lakeridge Health Ajax Pickering Hospital, who took care of Peter during his final weeks.
