August 24, 1938 -  November 23, 2022

Peter Anthony Martens, 84 passed away peacefully on November 23, 2022 surrounded by his family and loved ones. He will be dearly missed and always remembered. Pete is survived by his wife Glorine, his daughter, Taralisa(Rob), son Jason (Amy), and grandchildren, Madeline, Tessa, Kaeden, Fletcher, Jillian, Tyler and Emma. Pete requested a celebration of life be held in his honour as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request that Pete's loved ones join us in celebrating his beautiful life at Audley Recreation Centre (Community Room & Studio),
1955 Audley Road, Ajax Ontario on Thursday December 1st anytime between 3:30-7:00pm.

Pete and I were very close friends from 1959 until a few years later before marriage and raising our families......resumed friendship a few years ago through media. Met in person at Ex-AM employees reunion. My deepest condolences to the Martens and LaCelle families.

when I dated Elaine in1966 ,I met Peter , Elaine had a motor bike & Peter lent me his that we could go for a ride . I promptly crashed peters motor bike & hurt my hand sliding across a driveway.Peter did not give me a hard time . He loved hockey & cars , alive we both enjoyed . Peter founded a sports paper which enabled him to make a living from one of his passions . He founded a hockey team FUBAR , I was privaliged To play with Pete & his friends in a. Old timer tournament FUBAR played in . We compared & enjoyed cars for many joyful hours . Both Pete & I are only child in our families , he was not a follower . I will mise you Peter but the memories will remain .
